Trump Quietly Makes History in Unprecedented Move for Women Obama Couldn't Accomplish

Share

One of the many unfounded criticisms lodged against President Donald Trump by his liberal haters is that he is some sort of sexist misogynist that mistreats and looks down upon successful women.

Of course, anyone who knows or has been following Trump for any amount of time — and who has a bit of intellectual honesty — understands that such a smear couldn’t be further from the truth.

The reality of the situation, as laid out in detail in an op-ed for The Hill by GOP strategist Jen Kerns, is that Trump actually has more women at senior levels in various parts of his administration than any of his recent predecessors, including former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Also, it is worth noting that several of those women are minorities or descended from immigrants to America.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of the liberal media has decided not to report on that fact in favor of perpetuating the narrative that Trump hates women, minorities and immigrants.

Just at the cabinet-level alone, Trump has no fewer than five women appointed and confirmed to leadership positions.

Those women are: Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon.

Beneath the cabinet, but still at senior levels in the administration, are women such as: Air Force Secretary Dr. Heather Wilson, U.S. Treasurer Jovita Carranza, Regulation Czar Neomi Rao, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma, Associate Attorney General Heather Brand, Surrogate and Coalitions Outreach Director Kelly Sadler and Deputy National Security Advisor Dina Powell.

Two senior advisers to the president that should serve as role models for women all across the country are Counselor Kellyanne Conway and senior adviser Ivanka Trump … to say nothing of the advice and support he no doubt receives from first lady Melania Trump.

Do you think the media has unfairly characterized Trump in regard to how he treats women?

To the credit of NBC News, they did take note in September 2017 of the several women who had ascended to the top of Trump’s communications team.

Of course, that would include White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Communications Director Hope Hicks and Senior Communications Strategist Mercedes Schlapp.

Less well-known but still an important part of the team are deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters and White House media affairs director Helen Aguirre Ferré.

Left unmentioned by either of those articles, but still in rather prominent positions in the administration that face the nation on a routine basis are State Department spokeswomen Heather Nauert and Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores.

By our count, that is no less than 22 women placed in senior positions as part of the president’s administration — and we haven’t even really dug down deep into the associate/deputy/undersecretary level or various ambassadorships. Wouldn’t it be nice if the liberal feminist “we need more women in powerful positions” movement took note of this?

So, there you have it. Rather than being a women-hating misogynist who has held women down and prevented them from ascending to leadership positions in his administration, President Trump has actually proven that he is the opposite, and he has appointed smart women to serve in numerous key spots.

Please share this story on Facebook to help counter the liberal narrative that President Trump hates women and only has old white men serving in top positions in his administration.
