Stormy Daniels' Mom Just Issued a Huge Statement on Trump... Get Ready for Some Fireworks

Share

America might know more today about a porn star with the stage name of Stormy Daniels than it ever expected.

But a Dallas Morning News story published this week is shedding new light on the family life of woman, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, who claims she had a nine-month affair with President Donald Trump back in 2006.

And what that mother has to say should raise questions that could set off fireworks around the whole sordid story.

Sheila Gregory, 64, doesn’t talk about Trump the way most women would about a man who used her daughter for sex and then cast her aside (the way a certain former Democrat president treated a White House intern, for instance.)

Instead, Gregory is an outspoken supporter of the president, whose biggest wish seems to be that the scandal her daughter has been hyping since January doesn’t hurt Trump’s presidency.

“If Mr. Trump runs four more times, I would vote for him every time,” she told the newspaper, at the tail end of a lengthy story exploring Daniels early life.

“I like him. I like the way he handles things. It’s time this country is put back where it belongs — taking care of the people here instead of the people who don’t belong here.”

That’s pretty much what most Trump supporters think of the president, and with good reason.

Despite constant carping from Democrats and their media allies, Trump’s presidency has been successful so far on any number of fronts, from crushing the Islamic State group abroad to creating the environment for a roaring stock market and galloping job creation that even experts didn’t expect.

Is the whole Stormy Daniels story a set-up to nail Donald Trump?

But it’s not what most mothers would think about a married man who had an affair with their daughter while his own wife was still nursing a young baby at home.

Granted, most mothers don’t have daughters who grow up to become famous for having sex with strangers (thank the Lord), but Gregory’s evidently untarnished enthusiasm for Trump is one more reason to think Clifford, aka Daniels, might not be telling the whole truth in her Trump story.

From the beginning, the porn star’s version has been questionable. She allegedly had an affair with Trump when he was one of the best-known billionaires in the world and kept quiet about (laudable tact, if it’s true.)

But she then gave an interview about it to In Touch magazine in 2011, which somehow stayed hidden throughout the 2016 presidential election campaign, when the shadow armies of the Hillary Clinton machine and Democrats nationally were paying out millions for dirt on the man who eventually won the presidency?

And further, Clifford aka Daniels received a scant $130,000 in hush money to keep quiet?

In the billion-dollar, cut-throat world of American presidential politics in 2016, $130,000 was barely enough money to tip the hit man, much less keep a lid on yet another Trump “scandal.”

And now comes the mother of that porn star, reminiscing in a newspaper interview about what a lovely little girl she raised, and how that little girl always loved horses.

She doesn’t approve of the life her daughter has made for herself, the Dallas Morning News reported, “but doesn’t fault her for it.”

She also hasn’t spoken with the daughter in 12 years, but not for lack of trying. Her daughter doesn’t respond, though she tries to contact her every few weeks, Gregory said.

All of that might be more than America ever wanted to know about the country’s currently most-famous porn star, but there is one real takeaway here. The mother of Stormy Daniels remains a die-hard Trump fan.

And she might have more faith in Trump than she does her own daughter.
