For Senate Democrats, it’s like the dog that didn’t bark.
Amid the sound and fury shaking the nation’s capital over the endless allegations of the Trump campaign “colluding” with Russian operators to defeat Hillary Clinton and her corrupt Democrat machine in November, few items got the attention of the mainstream media like the “Trump dossier.”
Now, one of the sharpest columnists in Washington is making a case that the dossier has Democrat origins – and Senate Democrats are doing their best to keep that information from ever getting to the American public.

The infamous, innuendo-laden – and error-ridden – “Trump dossier” was put together by Fusion GPS, a firm with deep Democrat links that markets political dirt for smear campaigns that’s for sale to the highest bidder.
Since the document first exploded onto the public scene back in January, one question has never been answered publicly and that is who exactly paid Fusion GPS to put it together.
On Friday, The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel reported (subscription required) that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley has written to GPS founder Glenn Simpson demanding an answer to that.
