Sarah Publicly Takes Apart RINO Sen. Criticizing Trump for "Treason" Comment
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has shown herself to be as tough as nails, pushing back against political opponents with a quick, no-nonsense attitude.
Tuesday was no exception.
RINO Republican Sen. Jeff Flake had criticized President Donald Trump for a comment regarding “treason,” and Sanders let him have it.
The Arizona senator attacked the president Tuesday for using the word “treason” when referring to Democrats who remained seated during his State of the Union address last week, saying the word was not a joking matter.
During Tuesday’s press briefing, when a reporter asked Sanders what she thought about Flake’s speech, she took him apart.
“I’m not going to respond directly to Sen. Flake’s comments. I don’t really care what Sen. Flake has to say. I don’t think his constituents do, either, and I think that’s why his numbers are in the tank,” she said.
No one can say it quite like Sanders.
She also took the opportunity to reiterate the fact that the president was joking when he made the remark, and went on to point out the bigger issue behind why Trump said what he did.
“The president was clearly joking with his comments but what isn’t a joke is that Democrats refuse to celebrate the accomplishments of last year that has helped all Americans,” Sanders said.
“What I don’t understand, what I don’t think the country understands, is why Democrats are so upset about lower taxes and higher wages. That’s something that every American should be celebrating, not crying about.”
She continued, “Democrats are going to have to make a decision at some point really soon. Do they hate this president more than they love this country? I hope the answer to that is no.”
Sanders is absolutely right. The actions and behaviors of Democrat leaders in this country has turned from “resistance” to Trump, to a resistance of anything that will actually improve the lives of Americans.
It is beyond ridiculous.

This is why we love Sanders.
On Monday, when Trump jokingly said Democrats sitting on their hands could be viewed as treason, he also said that it seems like they do not care for the country by their refusal to acknowledge the good things that the Trump administration accomplished in its first year.
He’s right, and Sanders is right that Democrats must let go of their hatred for Trump if they’re going to help improve the country.
If they don’t, they will further distance themselves from the good things that are happening in this country, and continue to alienate voters.
On the other hand, maybe they should keep hating Trump — it will almost ensure they lose their upcoming elections.
