As the nation of France solemnly marked the one-year-anniversary of the bloody “Charlie Hebdo” massacre, Paris had yet another brush with a potentially murderous terrorist attack.
According to Breitbart, Paris police gunned down a knife-wielding Muslim man this morning as he charged toward a police station while shouting “Allahu Akbar!”
The man was also wearing what appeared to be an explosive vest, though it is now believed that the suicide bomber vest was fake, designed to create the impression of a broader attack.
The attack occurred just moments after French President Francois Hollande delivered an address about the increased security measures the nation was taking to protect against the threat of further terrorism.
According to the Paris Prosecutor’s office, the assailant was carrying a mobile phone and a piece of paper allegedly bearing an image of the Islamic State group flag and an “unambiguous statement” in Arabic, though that message wasn’t immediately released to the public.
Residents in the area were told to shelter in place, and two nearby schools were locked down while authorities scoured the surrounding area to ensure there were no other attackers.
It is estimated that some 10,000 soldiers have been deployed in and around Paris over the past year in what is known as Operation Sentinelle, purposed to supplement the local police in the event that there is another major terror attack in the city.

Fortunately this terrorist attack was stopped before any innocent blood was shed. Unfortunately, the now-dead terrorist is not alone; there are an untold number of jihadists like him just waiting for the opportunity or order to launch an attack of their own.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to help spread the word that Paris almost suffered another terrorist attack on the anniversary of the “Charlie Hebdo” massacre.
