It would appear that Mother Nature herself believes net neutrality should go.
At a Washington, D.C. rally for net neutrality on Thursday, the same day the Federal Communications Commission repealed net neutrality, Democrat Representative Jose Serrano of New York was smacked off the stage by a massive prop.
The enormous alarm clock, emblazoned with the text “Neutrality Wake Up Call,” definitely woke Serrano out of his ramblings when it fell over and pushed the man off-stage.

I don’t know how heavy that set piece was — maybe it was the surprise of contact that sent him reeling, but off the stage he went.
To the man’s credit, he has the presence of mind to make a joke about the potentially embarrassing moment.

“Wow. I have never been hit that hard in the South Bronx,” he said from the ground.
“But I‘ll speak from here, and I’m doing that with a pulled muscle in my leg. (I’m a) tough guy. Where was I?”
Nothing like inflating your own ego in the face of a menacing prop, right folks?
In all seriousness, I’m glad he wasn’t hurt. We need him healthy and well to witness just how little apocalypse occurs post-net neutrality.

Liberals — and some conservatives — have been harping on the perils of allowing the Obama-era net neutrality to fall into the ash heap of history.
For those who are worried, allow me to offer you thins consolation: net neutrality was put into place in 2015. We had the internet before then, and it worked just fine.
Our internet will work just fine after, too.
