New Yorker Magazine Reveals Disgusting Trump Cover That Even Liberals Hate

Share

It is blatantly obvious that the liberal media harbors nothing but hatred for President Donald Trump, and one method in which they make their feelings known to the public is through decidedly unflattering pictures or illustrations of him on the cover of various newspapers and magazines.

The New Yorker is the latest publication to go this route with a cover for their March 26 issue that features a watercolor painting of an incredibly fat and naked Trump standing behind a podium while taking questions from the media.

The illustration was submitted by artist Barry Blitt — his fifteenth Trump illustration to make the magazines cover — and is titled “Exposed.”

“I wanted to address President Trump’s stormy relationship with the press,” stated Blitt of the cover, no doubt a play on the media-obsessed scandal regarding an alleged affair more than a dozen years ago between Trump and former porn star Stormy Daniels.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, many liberals have cheered the disgusting cover art, with many noting how it seemed to fit with the “Emperor has no clothes” tale or remarking on Trump’s “tiny hands,” a subtle reference to another body part that is also assumed to be small by those with their minds in the gutter.

But Fox News reported that not everyone was thrilled with the cover art, even plenty of Democrats and liberals, who chastised the magazine for the “repulsive” artwork that could be classified as “body-shaming,” or making fun of someone over their weight, something liberal culture has been railing against for many years now.

One Twitter user replied, “This cover is an outrage. Donald Trump is the President of the United States. As a lifelong Democrat I strongly oppose his views but he is still the President of the United States and is due an apology. He is someone’s father husband and friend. He deserves better.”

Another user, who has since deleted her tweets, replied, “I dislike Trump, but they could have done without the body shaming. Especially considering that is a culture we are all trying to get away from.” She added, “As someone who is VERY Anti-Trump, displaying him as a flesh colored blob is 100% body shaming.”

Do you think the liberal media has gone too far in their blatant hatred for President Trump?

Still another tweeted, “The fact that a once-respected magazine is now body-shaming and humiliating a United States president is a sad statement about the hate that exists in the hearts of so many. People, this country has to get back to some level of decency.”

Many commenters noted how unlikely it would be for The New Yorker or any other liberal publication to feature a similar cover mocking the weight and nudity of a liberal politician like failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, a sentiment summed by this tweet: “I’ll take, ‘Covers they’d never do about Hillary,’ for $1,000 Alex.”

Another remarked, “Imagine the s*** storm had Madame Hillary Clinton won and a magazine had decided to run a cover of her along these lines!”

It would appear that the body-shaming of the president largely stems from the media’s outright rejection of Trump’s official physical examination by White House physician and U.S. Navy Admiral Ronny Jackson in 2017, which gave Trump a clean bill of health save for being slightly overweight and in need of physical exercise.

That pronouncement, which caused many in the liberal media to suddenly question Jackson’s honesty and qualifications as a physician — despite the fact they had no issue with him when he served as former President Barack Obama’s physician — also gave rise to what have become known as “girthers,” or weight truthers, who insist the president is fatter and heavier than claimed by the doctor.

But E. Todd Schroeder, an Associate Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California, told Fox that even if people didn’t particularly like the president, it wasn’t OK for them to attack his weight or personal appearance, as “body composition and weight is a sensitive topic for both men and women.”

Schroeder added, “If Hillary Clinton was president, had a physical, and classified as overweight, I am confident the report would receive little attention and certainly not ridicule.”

Sadly, this is simply the latest example of how liberals think the rules they have espoused to the rest of the country — body- and fat-shaming are unacceptable and off-limits — don’t always apply to them when such coarseness can be used to further their own narratives and agenda, in this case mocking and shaming a president they despise.
