Liberal Minister Makes Horrifying Claim About God and Sexual Assault

Share

In an inane op-ed published earlier this month, a female rabbi from Michigan claimed that the biblical character Eve was the first-ever victim of sexual assault.

“The story that begins the bible, the first one that we learn in Sunday school, the founding story of man and woman upheld for thousands of years by Judeo-Christian religion, is actually the story of the first sexual assault of a woman,” rabbi Tamara Kolton explained for The Forward.

“The woman’s name is Eve,” she added. “And the perpetrator? God.”

Wait, what!?

Let me briefly backtrack for any non-Christian readers. The Bible’s story of Adam and Eve tells of how, at the beginning of time, God created two human beings named Adam and Eve — male and female — and forbade them from eating fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

But alas, Eve was persuaded by a vile serpent to disobey God and eat the fruit, and then encouraged Adam to partake in it as well. And for this, she, Adam and the serpent were all justly punished.

“God punished the serpent by cursing his kind. They would forever have to crawl on their bellies in the dust and be enemies of mankind. God punished Adam and Eve, and all their descendants, by making their lives hard. No longer could they live in the perfect world of the Garden of Eden. Men would have to struggle and sweat for their existence,” notes the Christian Bible Reference Site.

And apparently, it’s this punishment — that, as a reminder, God doled out to the serpent, Adam and Eve — that makes God a sexual abuser equivalent to, say, former President Bill Clinton, and Eve a sexual assault victim equivalent to Clinton’s victims, i.e., the “bimbos” who were derided as liars and charlatans.

“The founding myth of Judeo-Christian religion, the story of Eve, granted generations of men permission to violate women,” Kolton argued.

Do you think this lady is crazy?

“It teaches us that women are liars and sinners. Even if ‘She’ is telling the truth, she deserved it. God told her not to eat that apple, or wear that skirt, or go out after dark, or be pretty, or desirous, or in that bar or on that street or in that car or born a girl,” the rabbi’s insane rant continued.

Except the story of Adam and Eve doesn’t call Eve a liar. Nor did it contain any examples of either God, Adam or even the serpent violating women.

Writing for The Daily Wire, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro outlined what the story did actually show: “God commands Adam. He commands Eve. He punishes Adam. He punishes Eve. He punishes the snake. The end.”

“Eve wasn’t sexually harassed or assaulted by God. She wasn’t a #MeToo victim. The only victims in this piece are Kolton’s readers, who all lost IQ points simply by sticking around to read it,” he added.

Shapiro for the win!
