Uh-Oh: Cameras Catch Liberal Leaders Using "White Power" Hand Gestures

Share

Have you heard about the latest “white power” scandal to hit Trump’s administration?

I know, it’s tough to keep up with them all (especially if you read Louise Mensch’s claptrap). However, over the past few months, apparently the “OK” symbol — putting one’s thumb and forefinger together while raising the other three fingers —  has come to be a secret sign that one believes in white power.

This relatively new phenomenon — which has been put together based on almost no evidence — has snared at least one former White House intern who was caught giving the “OK”, I mean “white power” symbol during a group photo.

David Martosko of the U.K. Daily Mail was the first to report on it:

One somewhat daft Twitterer used the occasion to explain just why the symbol means “white power.”

Oh, well. I’m convinced. Nobody would ever use that symbol if they weren’t trying to mimic the letters “WP,” for white power, right?

Huh. Well, I’m sure that image dredged up by The Daily Caller was just a one off thing, right?

Oh my gosh. Bill’s practically a Klansman! No wonder all of the liberals are abandoning him now — they realize he was for white power all along.

Well, thankfully, he has to be the only liberal to have been part of this conspiracy…

Not Hillary Clinton, too! Now we know “What Happened” — she was secretly in league with David Duke and it cost her the election! If only the Democrats had nominated Bernie Sanders…

O. M. G. He’s in on it too! He’s so senescent he can’t even fully raise the last three fingers on his bony little hands, yet he’s still repping for the philosophy of Richard Spencer and George Lincoln Rockwell.

I wonder what real liberals like Bill de Blasio would have to say about that.

No — not Billy D! He’s the left’s favorite crypto-socialist mayor now that Ed Murray got nicked for molesting all those teenagers. (Allegedly, cough cough.)

Well, what’s become clear throughout all of this is that it wasn’t just the Republicans who were turned into vicious racists by the Obama administration. It was Democrats, too — Democrats who couldn’t take the fact that the nation’s highest office was no longer in white hands. That’s why their hands began to flash the white power signal.

Poor Obama. His own party was allied against them, more concerned about the color of his skin than the content of his character. They were so agonized by the blow to white supremacy that they…

Oh. Well then.

It’s kind of telling that this whole “symbol we’ve used forever actually meaning something sinister and racist” thing only became a big thing when a Republican president known for hand gestures in general (and that hand gesture in particular) took office. While I’m sure that some of America’s incredibly minute smattering of actual white supremacists have used the symbol to mean that, the vast majority of people who use it use it to mean “OK” — what it’s meant for decades.

Oh, and by the by, the White House intern who flashed the symbol? Apparently, he’s Jewish.

“In some of our intern pictures, I emulated the OK sign the President sometimes makes,” intern Jack Breuer told The Daily Caller. “That was foolish. I should have listened more closely to the Commander-in-Chief and given the thumbs up.”

“I’m proud of my Jewish heritage and strongly reject the hateful views associated with racist white power organizations. I would never make common cause with them.”

That didn’t stop Twitter for basically calling for his head.

Here’s a question: Why don’t they try to find Bill Clinton? Or Hillary Clinton? Or Barack Obama? Or…
