As Donald Trump’s first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski can lay reasonable claim to being the man who got the Trump train rolling.
Now, Lewandowski says it’s time for the Republican establishment in Congress to get on board or risk losing a major opportunity.
Lewandowski made his remarks during a Wednesday appearance on Fox News, saying that Trump was facing headwinds not only from the Democrats but also from his own party — and made a demand that has to be seriously rattling Republicans in Congress who think they can keep straddling the fence when it comes to supporting Trump and the agenda he was elected on.

“It’s very simple,” Lewandowski told “Fox & Friends” host Ainsley Earhardt when asked how he would convince GOP opposition in Congress to start supporting Trump more consistently. “President Trump was elected to change the country. And you can get on board that train or you can lose your next election, because — I can promise you this — the Democrats have a different agenda.”
As for the Democrats, Lewandowski said that they “have forgotten about the middle class, they’ve forgotten about infrastructure, they’ve forgotten about the people who voted for Donald Trump for change.”
“And if (congressional Republicans) don’t want to provide that change,” he said, “in 18 months we’re going to have another election.”
