Leaked: Lib Politicians' Private Info Released from Anthony Weiner's Hard Drive

Share

Disgraced former New York politician Anthony Weiner and his laptop of classified information is back in the news again, though this time not for anything he has done.

Instead, a massive list containing the private information of hundreds of Weiner’s contacts that had been saved on his laptop have inexplicably been leaked online, Squawker reported.

We here at Conservative Tribune neither condone nor support the tactic of “doxxing” individuals — the sharing of private information with the public as a form of punishment or revenge — so we won’t be providing direct links to the leaked information.

That said, a quick internet search will turn up a number of sites and forums, such as 4chan threads, where the archived list can be accessed, read and even downloaded.

The list reportedly contained the names, phone numbers, email and physical addresses, place of employment and other personal information on a grand total of 639 individuals — some of them rather important people.

According to Media Equalizer, some of the names on the list are prominent politicians, media figures and major global players that apparently were known to Weiner.

Obviously, that would include failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, as Weiner is still married to Clinton right hand and senior aide Huma Abedin.

But it also included people like her campaign manager John Podesta, as well as former Vice President Al Gore and leftist billionaire financier George Soros, among many others.

Squawker pointed out a few other familiar names, such as close Clinton associate former Democrat Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, CNN anchor Jake Tapper and former news anchor Greta Van Susteren, also among others.

Do you think it should be a crime to "doxx" people and share their private info online?

Considering Weiner is currently serving a 21-month prison sentence for sexting with a 15-year-old girl, it would be all but impossible for Weiner himself to have had a hand in leaking this information.

However, the fact that Weiner couldn’t have leaked the information himself only begs the question: Who did leak this personal information of hundreds of private individuals?

Squawker suspected the list was released by the FBI, or at least one “rogue” agent at the bureau, though obviously there is no way to confirm that assertion at the moment, nor is there an obvious motive for doing so.

The outlet reached that conclusion given the fact that Weiner’s laptop was last known to be in the possession of the FBI following the discovery of highly classified State Department emails and documents on the computer’s hard drive during the investigation of his sext-capades with minor children by the New York Police Department.

That said, if it wasn’t anybody at the FBI who leaked the list online — and also assuming it wasn’t anybody at the NYPD who may have hung on to the info for some unknown reason — there aren’t a lot of other options out there other than some anonymous hacker(s) who somehow managed to penetrate the FBI and obtain the information, a seemingly even more far-fetched hypothesis.

It will be interesting to see if anything else comes from this story, but one thing is fairly certain … a lot of prominent people will be getting a lot of unwanted phone calls, and maybe even a few unexpected visitors, for the time being until they change their numbers or move to a different address.

Share this story on Facebook to let everyone know that someone just doxxed 639 people known to Anthony Weiner by posting all of their private contact information online.
