The Islamic State group is known for finding horrifying ways of killing their prisoners. They have burned prisoners alive, crushed them with tanks and beheaded them. However the terror group’s favorite method of execution has always seemed to be blowing up captives with excessive amounts of explosives.
The U.K. Daily Mail reported that the Islamic State group released a new video showing them executing two captives in this way, using a cellphone as a detonator.
The video looks like something in a b-movie starring Bruce Campbell in which the bad guy presses a button on his cellphone to make things go boom.
Unfortunately this is the real world, and the Islamic State militants have apparently mastered the art of using cellphones as remote detonators.
The men who were executed were reportedly members of the rebel group called “Sham al-Rasoul Brigade.”
As the Islamic State group has grown and spread, it has become more adept at using modern technology for its twisted purposes.
Unlike the stereotypical Al Qaeda terrorist standing in a cave waving an AK-47 over his head, the Islamic State group extremists become smart and tech-savy. They have used drones to shoot footage of their executions, and now they have figured out how to turn cellphones into detonators.
The disturbing video can be seen here.
The last thing we wanted to see was this group of barbarians using something as common as cellphone technology to further their violent goals, but we obviously don’t always get what we want.
We wanted a president who would actually engage the Islamic State group and put an end to the threat they pose to the United States, and you can see how well that’s worked out.
Share this on Facebook and Twitter so others are aware of this threat from the brutal militants of the Islamic State group.
