A bad situation turned into a near fatal one when a Baltimore high school student beat a fellow student so severely that he was charged with attempted murder by the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office.
On Wednesday, a thug attending Frederick Douglass High School began beating on another student in the cafeteria. The video showed the attacker pummeling the other student violently in the face, which sent the victim into convulsions as he lay on the ground.
A statement from Baltimore City Schools reported that teachers broke up the fight immediately, but the damage had already been inflicted. The victim was transferred to Shock Trauma and the attacker was immediately arrested by school police and transferred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
Overnight, the attacking thug was transferred from DJS to Central Booking Intake Facility and school police were notified that the attacker was being charged as an adult with attempted murder.
The video shows the attack from beginning to end as the large attacker brutally punches the victim in the face multiple times before stomping on his head as he went to the ground, seemingly unconscious. Blood from his wounds pooled around his head as his body began to convulse.
“As of this morning, the victim is reported to be in stable condition and has been transferred to the University of Maryland Medical Center,” the school’s statement said.
Frederick Douglass High School garnered widespread news coverage during the Freddie Gray riots as large groups of its students formed groups that were responsible for sparking the violent resistance against Baltimore police officers, who were reportedly told to stand down even though the students were pelting them with bricks and bottles.
Hopefully, the violent thug student in the video is successfully prosecuted and sent to prison for the vicious attack that nearly killed his victim.
