During his term in office, former President Barack Obama promoted food stamps, falsely pretending that empowering the indigent included awarding them with endless handouts versus a hand up.
A recent case out of Pennsylvania suggests otherwise.
According to PennLive, among 64 locals charged with welfare fraud was a heroin addict, Dana R. Pryor, 25, who sold $107 in food stamps on the streets to purchase $30 worth of heroin.

But she wasn’t even the only one. According to another PennLive report, earlier this year Prior assisted another heroin addict, Tanya Keenan-Mack, with writing a Facebook post with the headline “My Food Stamps at Half Price.”
“I’m looking to sell them ASAP,” Keenan-Mack wrote, referencing $194 in food stamps that she hoped to flip for $100 in cash — apparently so she could then use the money to purchase heroin.
