By all appearances it would seem that Republicans have once again reached an impasse on their plans to repeal and replace Obamacare and have kicked the health care can down the road once more.
Meanwhile, as the GOP has been almost singularly focused on their futile attempt to please everyone with a health care bill, they have virtually ignored several other pressing matters that deserve attention, such as tax reform. This fact could come back to bite them in the 2018 midterm elections.
According to The American Mirror, former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday, warned that if the GOP doesn’t get their act together and pass tax reform legislation to improve the economy, voters could very well put control of Congress back into Democrats’ hands.

To be sure, there have been some minor moves made by Congress that will help improve the economy, particularly in the realm of rolling back some of the more onerous regulations imposed by the prior administration, which have laid the groundwork for future job growth.
But there is much more that needs to be done, and the Republican-led Congress have few legitimate excuses for not making more of an effort to address the economic agenda — an agenda they were voted into office to promote.
