If you’re a dog thief in China, you aren’t just going to get a slap on the wrist — at least, if the local residents catch you.
Viral photos show a coterie of dog thieves abused after they were caught stealing pooches. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while another is still in the hospital for his injuries.
The U.K. Daily Mail reports that a slew of dogs were reported missing in the villages of Shijang and Luodai, and that on the afternoon of Dec. 13, the thieves were caught by villagers. Gongcheng Public Security Bureau were called out to the scene, and immediately they knew that there was nothing they could do quite as nasty as the villagers had done.
This is the sort of damage that the angry villagers of Shijang and Luodai decided to do to the dog thieves:
By the way, the white stuff on the second dog thief? Yeah, that’s salt. Apparently, villagers didn’t want the thief to get too comfortable while waiting for the constabulary to arrive at the scene. The other thief was shot by a crossbow, and nobody had to worry about him being comfortable — he was pronounced dead at the scene. (China can be a pretty rough place.)
We don’t really encourage stereotypes here at Conservative Tribune, but we must in good conscience let you know that the dog thieves were after exactly what you might think that they were: the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, located right next door to Vietnam, has a history of consuming dog meat.
In fact, the utterly disgusting Yulin dog festival, located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, consumes a staggering amount of dog — over 10,000 skinned and eaten canines.
However, given these ruthless vigilantes, we think there might be a little less interest in Yulin’s festival this year — especially when you consider the kind of wrath protesters might have in store for the other degenerates who think it’s OK to eat other people’s pets.
