Dreamer Libs Use for Sob Story Turned Out To Have Violated DACA Status

In an effort to provide an emotionally charged counter to President Donald Trump’s tough-on-immigration policies, Democrats have been parading around the story of one young immigrant — a story that soon went south, no pun intended.

Juan Manuel Montes-Bojorquez was one of the 750,000 illegal immigrants who was classified as a “dreamer” under former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which granted stays of deportation and work permits to those who qualified, according to The Washington Times.

Despite his DACA status, the 23-year-old was recently deported by the Trump administration because he broke the terms of the program — a fact liberals overlooked when they decided to make him their poster child.

When Montes-Bojorquez went public with the fact that he had been deported, liberals in Washington pounced on the story in an effort to present Trump in a bad light.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called Montes-Bojorquez “outstanding” and said his deportation was a disgrace to American values.

Sen. Richard J. Durbin challenged Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly, who vowed last month that nobody approved as a dreamer under DACA would be deported by the Trump administration.

Immigrant rights activists, led by United We Dream community organizer Deyanira Aldana, gathered outside a Homeland Security Department office in Washington on April 19, demanding that Montes-Bojorquez be reimported from Mexico.

“We will stand up to racist agents that continue to target our community,” Aldana said though a bullhorn at the protest.

What these liberals failed to understand, however, was that Montes-Bojorquez’s case was not as clear-cut as they assumed, and he was far from their innocent kid being ousted for no good reason. In fact, although Montes-Bojorquez had been approved for DACA through early next year, he broke the terms of the program by leaving the U.S. without permission.

To make matters worse, he tried to sneak back into the country after he left, but was spotted by Border Patrol agents and arrested on Feb. 19.

The young illegal alien told USA Today that he was first deported on Feb. 18 after an agent accosted him and asked him questions but refused to let him get his wallet, where he had proof of his DACA status. Montes-Bojorquez said he was so frustrated with being sent to Mexico that he tried to sneak back into the U.S. the next day, but he was quickly arrested and deported again.

However, U.S. Customs and Border Protection gave a completely different account of what happened, saying there was no record of a Feb. 18 encounter and deportation, just the Feb. 19 arrest after Montes-Bojorquez was caught sneaking into the country, according to a Department of Homeland Security news release.

That meant he had left the country to go to Mexico without getting permission — a breach of DACA.

“During (Mr. Montes’) detention and arrest by the United States Border Patrol on Feb. 19, he admitted to agents that he had illegally entered the United States and was arrested,” the agency said in a statement.

In addition, CBP said it couldn’t verify Montes-Bojorquez’s contention that he had been in the U.S. since age 9, as their first knowledge of him was in 2010 when he tried to enter the country without authorization.

It was unclear how he managed to be approved for DACA in 2014, because the terms of the program required illegal immigrants to have lived in the U.S. continuously since 2007.

The fact that an unqualified immigrant was wrongly approved for the program really isn’t that surprising when you remember that the same person who was behind this program also willingly gave guns to Mexican cartels.

Agents also discovered that Montes-Bojorquez had several convictions on his record for driving without a license, as well as a shoplifting conviction from 2016.

Any dreams liberals had for using this dreamer just went up in smoke.
