Breaking: Democrat HQ Leak Shows Real Reason for DACA Support

Share

Conservatives have long claimed that Democrats are pushing amnesty for illegal aliens not because it’s best for the country, but because it’s best for gaining liberal voters.

Now, there is finally proof that despite all the sympathetic-sounding soundbites, the left actually sees “Dreamers” as potential votes.

This week, a political action committee with ties to the Clinton’s leaked an internal memo meant to bash Donald Trump and rally support for DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Hidden in the memo, however, was a scathing admission.

“The fight to protect Dreamers [….] is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” declared the Center for American Progress Action Fund, in a memo penned by Democrat ally Jennifer Palmieri.

Palmieri worked as Barack Obama’s communications director, and held the same position in the doomed Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.

The longtime Democrat political operative admitted that the left was worried about its 2018 midterm prospects, and was desperate to keep “Dreamers” in the country as a source of votes.

“If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond,” the memo stated.

“In short, the next few weeks will tell us a lot about the Democratic Party and its long-term electoral prospects,” it continued.

It must be pointed out that DACA participants, like other non-citizens, cannot legally vote in the 2018 midterm or any other U.S. election. The question begs to be asked: What exactly does the memo mean when it warns liberals that deporting illegal aliens would “jeopardize electoral chances in 2018?”

While it is not a direct admission, this is a giant red flag that Democrats may have counted on thousands of DACA aliens to cast votes in the upcoming election — which would of course be very illegal.

President Trump has been a vocal critic of the DACA program, but has made it clear that he’s open to a legislative solution that originates in Congress.

The entire program was put in place by an executive order by Barack Obama, and does not have a law backing it up. Trump used his own executive order to essentially undo DACA and send it to Congress for a proper debate, but liberal courts are now fighting the president over this move.

“House lawmakers recently put forward a bipartisan DACA compromise bill that also claims to address worries over chain migration,” reported The Daily Caller. “However, it’s unclear if the bill will pass.”

This recent memo could serve as a sort of “smoking gun” which proves that Democrats are only seeking to mine aliens for votes, and confirms what many skeptics have feared: DACA is nothing more than a political play to control future elections by importing liberal voters.

It is, essentially, cross-border gerrymandering.

At the same time, this admission should outrage foreigners who genuinely believed Democrats were “doing the right thing” and held some sort of moral high ground by protecting Dreamers.

Imagine being an illegal alien who was assured by liberal politicians that they deeply cared about your situation, only to find out that you were seen as just a walking ballot, meant to be herded into the voting booth and then discarded.

Democrats will no doubt scramble to downplay the memo, but the damage is done. DACA skeptics have been proven correct, and it looks like yet another liberal program was just a scheme to consolidate power.
