Crowd Gives Standing Ovation After Governor Reveals What Trump Did for Fast Food Workers

President Donald Trump’s deviation from his prepared remarks to give a controversial speech about illegal immigration may have been the big story from West Virginia on Thursday.

However, one of the biggest applause lines didn’t come after the president’s comments about illegal immigration or on tax reform, which was his intended topic.

Instead, it came after West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice talked about what the president had done for the “Hardee’s ladies.”

It’s no secret that West Virginia is one of Trump’s biggest areas of support; as the Washington Examiner notes, the president won by over 40 points there.

Justice, a Republican, noted that the last time the president was in the state, he had visited the fast food restaurant earlier in the day, and the employees there were just crazy for him.

“The last time he was here, I was in the limo with him, and I said, ‘Mr. President, the ladies down at Hardee’s this morning, when I was going through, were out of their minds,’” Justice said.

“They said, ‘Can you please tell him we said hi and we love him and everything else?’”

“He looked at me and he said, ‘You like Hardee’s?'” Justice said to a laugh. “He said, ‘I like McDonald’s.'”

“Then I asked him if he could sign something and give to those ladies,” Justice continued.

“He looked all through the limo, and finally, he pulled out his speech, and he wrote, ‘Hardee’s gals, take care of big Jim, a great guy and great friend — Donald J. Trump.'”

“Now I’m telling you, that’s what kind of man we have in this office,” Justice continued.

‘”And I love him with all my heart, and I’ll support him until the death. He’s a great man.”

Do you think this reveals who the president really is?

Then, the crowd gave Justice, the president and the Hardee’s gals a thorough ovation.

Of course, given that Trump tends to deviate from his prepared remarks, the paper Trump gave the ladies may not have been what he really said that day.

However, there’s no doubt they got a bit of presidential history, all from a president their state loves.
