Watch: CNN Picks Wrong Woman to Put on Their Trump Panel, Pays the Price

Share

The media has been nothing short of obsessed over former porn actress Stormy Daniels’s claim that she had an affair with then-businessman/TV star Donald Trump about twelve years ago.

CNN, one of the major media outlets pushing the story for all it’s worth, recently put together a panel of women Trump supporters to watch the CBS “60 Minutes” interview between Daniels and CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

If they thought those women would trash Trump, they were severely mistaken.

Real Clear Politics provided a transcript of the panel discussion of conservative Christian Trump supporting women in Dallas, moderated by CNN reporter Randi Kaye, and it was readily apparent that these women simply weren’t buying what Daniels and the media were selling — and had a few choice words for why they thought the media was pressing the story so hard.

Dr. Lynette Bryant, a black female Trump supporter, at one point stated bluntly, “I think the thing is you’re looking for a way to impeach my president that I worked very hard for.”

“She was shopping her story for money, just like all the other people that have tried to make money off the Trump name,” stated Gina O’Briant.

Others chimed in that given her career as a porn star, Daniels lacked credibility compared to the president, and others questioned why she was only coming forward with her story now, if not for money.

“I know that when I voted for him, I wasn’t voting for a choir boy,” stated Bryant of the sordid allegations against the president.

“Someone is looking and shopping for these people to come out of the woodwork because it is demeaning to our president,” added Jill Newsom.

Do you think the media has pressed the Stormy Daniels story more than most people care to hear?

Bryant stated, “You can throw all that stuff up in our faces as many times as you want, but that means that we will work harder for Trump. Is that not so, ladies?”

The rest of the panelists agreed.

“This is the media defining the narrative,” asserted Sylvia Guzman. “The people, we, the people, are ready to define the narrative. And it’s not about tawdry sexual peccadilloes.”

“In order for somebody to come forward, you could be pushed by somebody else,” Bryant continued. “Right? And so I think the thing is you’re looking for a way to impeach my president that I worked very hard for.”

That remark seemed to irk moderator Kaye, who sternly reminded the panelists, “I’m asking you about a Stormy Daniels interview on ’60 Minutes’, period. That’s it.”

But that admonition didn’t appear to work, and in the end, Linda Churchwell summed up, “Worst case scenario, if he slept with her, whatever. That’s between him, the Lord, and his family. So that is not about the job he’s doing in running our country, and which he’s doing an amazing job.”

The producers at CNN must have thought that they’d be able to show how female Trump supporters were disgusted by the alleged extracurricular activity of their president — prior to his entry into politics — but that gambit appears to have backfired on them “bigly” as these women expressed their solid support for Trump in spite of the allegations.

Given the fact that President Trump’s approval numbers have not fallen — and have actually ticked up a notch — during the span in which the media has been obsessed with Stormy Daniels, it is a safe bet that these women aren’t alone in their feelings on this particular media-driven “scandal.”
