GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was on the right side of history when he sided with the people of the United Kingdom who decided to leave the European Union, which became known as the “Brexit” vote.
The media tried to scare people into thinking this was a bad idea, with dismal tales of how the British economy wouldn’t recover or that it would cripple the economy for years and years to come.
The U.K. Express reported figures that proved the left-wing, globalist media dead wrong and showed that not only is the British economy not crippled, as many left-wing pundits and so-called experts predicted, but it was thriving.

According to British government figures, the country was experiencing foreign investment at record levels with the years 2015-16 boasting 2,213 investment projects — a number that eclipsed the previous year by 11 percent.
International Trade Secretary Liam Fox spoke about this fantastic news and the great position Britain was in: “We’ve broadened our reach with emerging markets across the world to cement our position as the No. 1 destination in Europe for investment.”
Fox continued: “This continued vote of confidence in the U.K. will help attract foreign investment to create jobs, security and opportunities for people across the U.K.”

The U.S. led foreign investment in the U.K. with 570 projects, followed by China and Hong Kong (156) and India (140).
This record investment in the U.K. has resulted in both the creation of jobs or the protection of already existing jobs, at least 116,000 of them. The six-figure jobs number was also record-setting, coming in at number two on the list of highest recorded figures.
In addition to these numbers, consumer spending also rose in the month of July, putting to rest the doom and gloom that so-called experts predicted would occur after the Brexit vote.
These numbers were in spite of the fact that Britain was still barred from formal trade talks with other countries. According to the Express, Downing Street sources suggested that informal talks will take place in Hangzhou, China, at the G20 meeting that kicked off on Sunday.

The fact that the U.K. threw off the shackles of globalism and is thriving, as Trump and others widely predicted, is a great sign for the rest of the world including America as many of us reject the politicians on both sides of the aisle that are trying to move the U.S. toward globalism.
