President-elect Donald Trump announced some of his top priorities for making America great again, and they include strengthening our country’s defense.
More specifically, those priorities, listed on presidential transition website greatagain.gov, included modernizing the U.S. nuclear arsenal and improving infrastructure to safeguard against cyber attacks.
“America’s stature in the world is determined by its values, prosperity and might,” the website stated.

The website also said that Trump understood how “a strong, prosperous economy underwrites military might, and how a strong, robust military secures our way of life and the fruits of our economy,” adding that security threats can’t be resolved unless they are defined in such a way that American resources and instruments of power can be used against them.
According to the website, Trump will “ensure our strategic nuclear triad is modernized to ensure it continues to be an effective deterrent,” and his administration will “review and minimize our nation’s infrastructure vulnerabilities to cyber threats.”
Trump advisers also have said that Trump plans to rebuild the military under Reagan-style policies known as “peace through strength,” the Washington Free Beacon reported. The transition website also stated that the use of military force would be closely tied to the national interests of America.

During his campaign, Trump criticized President Barack Obama for reducing the U.S. nuclear arsenal and for his overall disdain for the military.
Trump apparently understood radical Islam to be the primary vehicle of terrorism and vowed to restore America’s military and protect our vital interests, which is exactly what any real leader should do.
It looks as though Trump is already working on fulfilling those promises, and there is no better time to start than now.
