A video has recently surfaced allegedly showing the exact moment when a suicide bomber attempted to detonate his explosive vest in a cafe. What was particularly significant was that this was one of the Paris terror attacker, Brahim Abdeslam.
Abdeslam tried to detonate his suicide vest in a Parisian cafe during the attacks, but it malfunctioned and wound up killing only one person … Abdeslam. The video that has surfaced supposedly caught this moment on camera.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
In the video, a man entered the small cafe Comptoir Voltaire. Then there were a series of still shots that showed him walking toward the center of the cafe, presumably to get closer to the largest crowd of customers. Shortly thereafter, the man lowered his head and detonated the bomb.
After initial investigation in November, it appeared that the device malfunctioned and was only partially detonated. The explosives instead appeared to detonate only on Abdelsam’s back, which sent him flying toward the rear of the cafe.
Debris could be see covering the restaurant, and what appeared to be Abdeslam’s body lay limply in the lower right hand corner.
A registered nurse, known only as David, was present at the cafe during the explosion. He told reporters that he found an injured man in the remnants of the explosion and tried to use CPR to resuscitate him. At the time, David did not realize that the man was Abdeslam, one of the Paris attackers.
David recalled seeing Abdeslam’s injuries, saying, “He had a large opening on his side, about 30 centimeters.”
When he was attempting to bring the man back to life, David noticed that it wasn’t exactly an accident that this happened.
“When you lift a t-shirt and you see wires, you know that’s not normal,” he said. “The first wire I saw was red. I think that was the detonator. There was something at the end.”
Abdeslam did not survive his injuries but his brother, Salah — the alleged mastermind behind the attacks — did survive, only to be caught and attested on March 18, several months after the incident that left 130 innocent people dead and injured 368 others.
This wasn’t the holy trip Abdeslam had been hoping for, but there may have been some divine intervention after all.
