After Russia finally admitted that its downed airliner earlier this month in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula was indeed brought down by a terrorist’s bomb, it stepped up attacks against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.
A major part of their assault against the radical jihadist group has been their unrelenting airstrikes throughout Islamic State group-controlled territory in Syria, particularly around the de facto capitol of Raqqa.
According to the U.K. Daily Mail, the Russian Defense Ministry has released several videos detailing strikes against various Islamic State group positions, equipment and infrastructure.
It was also noted that Russia has, for the first time ever in combat, deployed their new Tupolev-160 bombers, which can reportedly fly at supersonic speeds and come equipped with up to 12 missiles and a complement of bombs.
Utilizing repeated bombing runs and dozens upon dozens of cruise missiles launched from Russian territory, Russia has laid waste to the terrorists, forcing them to hide in and among the civilian populations held captive in their cities.
Russia has also reportedly deployed a missile cruiser to the Mediterranean Sea that was expected to join up and cooperate with the French aircraft carrier battle group currently steaming toward the hostile region.
Meanwhile, it was also reported that Russian cargo planes have been essentially ferrying around various paramilitary groups to position them in the best locations to take on the radical jihadist army.
Specifically, an Assyrian Christian militia group called the Gozarto Protection Force recently caught a lift with the Russians to the predominately Christian town of Sadad in the western Homs province.

Sadly, it would seem that Russia and France are far more serious about taking on and destroying the Islamic State group than President Barack Obama has ever been.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to help spread the word that Russia and France are pounding the Islamic State group into the ground while Obama continues to do little or nothing of significance.
