As Forrest Gump said, “stupid is as stupid does”.
When 35-year-old Jason Felix, 140 pounds soaking wet, flashed a gun at 6-foot-7, 280-pound former WWE star Shad Gaspard, the outcome was predictable to anyone but Felix.
That’s a whole lot of stupid.
According to WSVN-TV in Miami, Gaspard was minding his business in a Coral Gables, Florida, convenience store when Felix decided to rob him. Here for your amusement is the security camera video, courtesy of TMZ Sports:
Everything about this is entertaining, from the moment this piece of junk approaches Gaspard, then threatens him, to the finale at about 1:30 when he gets body-slammed to the ground like a rag doll.
Pinned under an unhappy Gaspard until police arrived, perhaps Felix had time to re-think his life choices. But I’m guessing not.
Gaspard is a self-professed “nice guy,” but he doesn’t suffer fools. He told Pro Wrestling Sheet he acted swiftly because, “I’m not dying in Florida.”
The Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reported that although the weapon initially appeared to be a black semi-automatic gun, it was in fact an air-powered BB gun.
“I thought it was a real gun the entire time and honestly, I just didn’t want anyone to get hurt,” Gaspard said. “I just kept thinking about how I wanted to make sure I got home to my son.”
All of which raises the question: Pro wrestler or not, what kind of idiot threatens a man the size of a refrigerator? This is truly a tale of the flea believing he can overpower the elephant. Stupid, stupid flea.
The law doesn’t care if you’re using a toy. Felix was jailed on a charge of robbery with a weapon and eventually released on a bond of $10,000.
Let’s hope the Florida courts can keep this trash off the streets for awhile.
Please share on Facebook and Twitter and let us know what you think should happen to this failed robber now.
