A child predator got a swift dose of police justice Saturday when he tried to pick up a child at a playground in Georgia.
A LaGrange police officer responded to a call about a disturbance around 3 p.m. David Noles had apparently picked up a child that did not belong to him. Officer Brady Pike arrived at the scene and asked Noles to put the child down. Noles did so but then he quickly attacked the officer, throwing a barrage of punches that led to a fight, with both men on the ground.
Video footage taken by a bystander at the park showed the two men wrestling as Pike attempted to subdue the man. Pike’s radio was knocked loose during the scuffle and he was unable to call for assistance.
Witnesses called 911, and police backup soon arrived. Noles was then subdued, arrested and taken into custody. Watch the video below:
Noles was held in the Troup County Jail on a $7,000 bond on charges of obstruction of an officer and disorderly conduct.
Noles fits the description of a dumb criminal. Because he attacked the officer, he was taken into custody. Had he not done so, he could still be on the street preying on innocent children — not that we’d prefer that.
We would never advocate attacking a police officer, but this is one instance where punching an officer worked out for the better of the community.
Officer Pike was treated for an injury to his nose and minor cuts but was reported to be otherwise OK.
