A Chile bus driver schooled a group of passengers on manners, and it’s a lesson you can bet they won’t forget for a while.
Video footage uploaded to LiveLeak last year showed a woman carrying a small child getting on the bus. She had to carefully balance herself, holding the pole with one hand while holding her baby in her other arm. If you’re thinking that’s not exactly the best or safest way to travel on a bus, you wouldn’t be alone.
The bus driver was also well aware of the woman’s precarious situation and decided to do something about it before one bump or fast turn resulted in her possibly losing balance and falling, or even worse, dropping her baby.
To illustrate the proper response in such a situation to the obviously rude passengers, he did what they should have done — he offered his seat to her. That would just so happen to be the driver’s seat. The diver then proceeded to scold the passengers for their lack of concern for the woman who hand her hands full.
Of course, the bus driver standing in the middle of the aisle put the passengers in the unique position of literally going nowhere fast.
Needless to say, it didn’t take long for some of the passengers to offer their seats to the woman.
You can watch what happened here:
It’s too bad this bus driver had to bring this bus to a complete halt and shame the passengers before someone stood up and offered their seat to this woman.
Maybe some of them, at least, learned a lesson and won’t be so self-centered and oblivious the next time they find themselves on a bus.
