President Barack Obama demonstrated on Monday just how much he wants to destroy the American military by threatening to veto the National Defense Authorization Act if the federal prison at Guantanamo Bay is not closed down.
Josh Earnest, White House press secretary, said the bill would be vetoed because of the “irresponsible way that it funds our national defense priorities, but also because of the efforts to prevent the closure (of) the prison at Guantanamo Bay,” according to Breitbart.
Earnest also said Democrats would support Obama’s veto.

The NDAA has been in operation for five decades, and it funds the military through a workaround measure that includes sequestration cuts of defense funding. Democrats are now saying the workaround isn’t enough and more money is needed.
The timing for this bill is perfect for Obama to inject his agenda regarding Guantanamo Bay.
Even Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who is for shutting down Guantanamo Bay, said that working with the president on this issue is difficult because the administration hasn’t presented a plan to do so. Without a plan, he can secure no votes.

Apparently, it doesn’t matter to Obama, who does what he wants regardless of any laws or the Constitution. He certainly doesn’t consider how the American people feel about issues before he decides anything.
Obama’s latest threat revealed just how much he wants to cut military spending and how he doesn’t care about the outcomes — or the safety of Americans as dangers both inside and outside our borders loom.
In fact, by shutting down Guantanamo Bay, he’s contributing to the growing threat to the United States by releasing some of the worst terrorists the world has seen — some of whom could end up on American soil.
Time and time again, Obama demonstrates how very little he cares about America and its citizens — and he needs to be stopped.
