Another day, another fake news scandal — this one from our friends at NBC.
According to the Media Research Center, NBC’s flagship morning show “Today” deceptively edited a quote from former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to make it look as if the Republican were against President Donald Trump’s executive order temporarily freezing immigration from seven countries.
“Amid the chaos, President Trump is defending his actions,” NBC correspondent Peter Alexander said on Monday’s show. “The statement reading, ‘To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion — this is about terror and keeping our country safe.’

“But Trump’s argument is seemingly contradicted by one of his advisers,” Alexander claimed. “Rudy Giuliani telling Fox News Trump consulted him and others.”
NBC then showed a clip of Giuliani saying, “When he first announced it, he said Muslim ban. He called me up, he said put a commission together, show me the right way to do it legally.”
However, a longer clip aired on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” shows that “America’s Mayor” said something very different.

See what Giuliani really said here:
“I put a commission together and what we did was we focused on, instead of religion, danger,” Giuliani explained. “The areas of the world that create danger for us, which is a factual basis, not a religious basis. Perfectly legal, perfectly sensible, and that’s what the ban is based on. It’s not based on religion.”
NBC clearly misused Giuliani’s quote, yet the entire thing seems to have flown under the radar. It’s hardly a surprise; in spite of the fact that NBC is arguably the most biased of the major networks, they’ve mostly been given a pass for their deceptive reporting.

Heck, Brian Williams even had the gall to complain about the effect “fake news” had on the election, as if helicopter boy was one to talk.
This is just another example of why Americans are turning away from traditional media in record numbers. Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you agree.
