When serial killer Michael Madison began smiling at and taunting his victims’ family members during his sentencing Thursday in an East Cleveland, Ohio, courtroom, he quickly learned that there is always a price to pay for evil.
According to news station KTVI, Van Terry, father of victim Shirellda Terry, was speaking when something completely unexpected occurred.
“I guess we are supposed to find it in our hearts to forgive this clown … who has taken my child,” he said before he turned around and suddenly leaped toward Madison.

Authorities were able to stop Terry from hurting Madison, but the anger and pain he expressed definitely left an indelible mark on the judge’s soul. So instead of sentencing the killer to life in prison without parole, the judge reportedly followed the jury’s recommendation and opted for the death sentence.
As for Terry, he likely would face no charges for his attack. Speaking with reporters, his sister explained that he simply couldn’t take the taunting anymore.
Madison reportedly killed three women — 38-year-old Angela Deskins, 28-year-old Shetisha Sheeley and 18-year-old Shirellda Terry — between 2012 and 2013, and obviously, he felt zero remorse over his actions.
It is no wonder the jury recommended the death sentence. Liberals prefer to deny it, but evil exists in this world. Sometimes it manifests itself in religiously motivated organizations like the Islamic State group. Other times it appears as bureaucratic corruption carried out by those with power.
In this scenario, evil exhibited itself in the sinister heart of a man so cold and devoid of humanity that after he killed his victims, he then took added pleasure in taunting their family members.
For a man this evil, there can be no other fate but that which he imposed on his own victims — death.
Goodbye, Mr. Madison.
