Fifty innocent human lives wasted by an Islamic terrorist in Orlando — the worst terrorist attack on American soil since that tragic September day almost 15 years ago. It was a devastating blow to the country, but particularly for the first-responders who had to deal with it.
Perhaps the saddest story of all came from Andy Carvin, a former editor at National Public Radio currently at First Look Media. He brought up one of the most poignant aspects of the shooting — something few of us had ever even considered.

“RE: the Orlando shooting, CNN just described something I’ve never thought of – as investigators are inside the nightclub, where many of the bodies are still where they fell, they have to tune out the nightmarish sound of all of the deceased phones’ ringing constantly as loved ones try to reach them. #shudder,” Carvin wrote on his Facebook account.
Talk about chilling. And, keep in mind, there were three hours between when the shooting began and when it was over — when SWAT teams stormed the club where terrorist Omar Mateen had holed himself up. There must have been hundreds (if not thousands) of calls placed to the victims of the massacre.
We hate to say “I told you so” at a tragic time like this. However, just because the tragedy is raw and fresh in our memories does not make the lessons it imparts to us any less urgent.

Conservatives are called bigots because we refuse to let men into women’s bathrooms in retail stores. However, those who call for death to those whose lifestyles differ from what they see as religiously ordained are defended vociferously by the left — so long as their religion is Islam.
And what does the media say? Nothing. Absolutely nothing at all.
After all, they’re not the ones who have to explain to the people who placed those phone calls why their loved ones didn’t answer. They’re not the ones who have to deal with the loss in years to come. They’re not the ones who have to wonder what was happening in their loved ones’ last moments alive.
These people have their own agenda, and it doesn’t include getting real answers. Unfortunately, if liberals have their way, there are going to be few real answers to be had.
