New dashcam footage showed the moment Islamic State group terrorist Anis Amri plowed into a Berlin Christmas market in a hijacked truck on Monday.
The video obtained by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation was dashcam footage from a car that appeared to have been stuck in traffic at the time of the incident.
It showed the black shadow of the truck plowing into the market, and then people running in fear.
Take a look at this horrifying video:
The attack killed 12 people and injured dozens more. Days after the attack, some victims still remained in the hospital with serious injuries.
After four days of searching and an international manhunt, Amri was finally located in Milan, Italy. Officials say Amri first traveled from Germany to France before crossing the Italian border. According to CNN, Amri was killed in a shootout with police during the early hours of the morning on Dec. 23.
Italian police noticed Amri and asked for his papers. That’s when Amri produced a gun and started firing at police, hitting two officials.
Before he died, Amri allegedly yelled, “Bastard cops!”
The U.K. Guardian reported that the terrorist had publicly professed his allegiance to the Islamic State group. Furthermore, the jihadists claimed responsibility for the Berlin terror attack and praised Amri for his despicable actions.
Still, some major news sources were hesitant to call the incident exactly what it was: a terror attack. Meanwhile, liberals both in the U.S. and the European Union fail to see how such frequent terror attacks are the direct result of Europe’s open borders for illegal immigrants and refugees.
