Boxing Legend George Foreman's Daughter Found Dead at Age 42
Freeda Foreman, daughter of boxing legend George Foreman, was found dead in her Houston home on March 9. She was 42.
Harris County Sheriff’s Officers have not confirmed the cause of Freeda’s death, but did say foul play was not suspected.
Freeda was born in 1976, one of 12 children born to George Foreman, who has five sons and seven daughters. All his sons were named George and Freeda’s middle name was also George.
Freeda followed in father’s athletic career path and began boxing professionally as a middleweight in 2000. Her parents reportedly did not like seeing her in the ring, and pleaded with her to quit, according to TMZ.

Freeda won her first five fights before losing her sixth in 2001. After the loss, she retired and turned her efforts to motherhood and boxing promotion.
“Aside from my love of family, being a good mother, wife, and friend, I aspire to make a positive difference in our American Criminal Justice System,” Freeda wrote on her Twitter profile.
Freeda leaves behind her husband, two daughters, parents and siblings.

George Edward Foreman, Freeda’s father, competed professionally from 1969 to 1977, and from 1987 to 1997. He is a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist.
Foreman is also known for being an entertainer, his infamous Foreman Grills and preaching in the Houston area. Freeda has appeared in documentaries about her father and was in a 2003 episode of the animated television show “King of the Hill.”
Most recently, Foreman, 70, made headlines when he was inducted into the Houston Sports Hall of Fame on Feb. 6 alongside Jackie Burke, A.J. Foyt and Dan Pastorini, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Since the news of Freeda’s death, fans have taken to social media to express their sorrow and condolences.
