In his biggest move against Megyn Kelly yet, Donald Trump has called on his followers to boycott Kelly’s Fox News show for its perceived bias against his candidacy.
Trump made the call to his followers in a tweet on Friday night, saying that “The Kelly File” was “(n)ever worth watching,” and saying that she was “the most overrated person” on television.
Trump’s comments came after a week of feuding with Kelly. After the Fox News’ host’s coverage of Tuesday’s primaries, in which Trump scored big victories, Trump went on a Twitter rampage in which he called Kelly “crazy.”

“Can’t watch Crazy Megyn anymore. Talks about me at 43% but never mentions that there are four people in race,” Trump tweeted. “Watching other networks and local news … Crazy @megynkelly is unwatchable.”
Everybody should boycott the @megynkelly show. Never worth watching. Always a hit on Trump! She is sick, & the most overrated person on tv.

The tweets prompted a response from Fox News, in which the cable network accused Trump of having a “sick obsession” with the anchor of “The Kelly File.”

“Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land,” Fox News’ statement read, according to The Hill.
“Megyn is an exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America — we’re extremely proud of her phenomenal work and continue to fully support her throughout every day of Trump’s endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults. As the mother of three young children, with a successful law career and the second highest rated show in cable news, it’s especially deplorable for her to be repeatedly abused just for doing her job.”
Trump also faced criticism from some of Kelly’s colleagues at Fox News.
@realDonaldTrump @megynkelly I love you man but basta. This obsession w @megynkelly is weird & unhelpful. She's doing her job, you do yours.

Trump’s rivalry with Kelly began after a GOP debate Fox News hosted last August in which moderator Kelly asked Trump a question which seemed to indicate that Trump had a history of sexism. The rivalry led to Trump bowing out of a January Fox News debate in Iowa.
However, Trump had never told his legion of followers to boycott Megyn Kelly. This is major news, especially given the clout Trump has in the conservative movement.
This could definitely crash Kelly’s ratings. Stay tuned.
