We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: The best way to stop a bad guy (or guys) with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
But a good granny with a gun? Sure, why not?
That’s what happened in this video from ABC News (via Iowa Gun Owners on Facebook), which is going viral. It took place in Garden Grove, California, a suburb south of Los Angeles.
A white SUV pulled up in the handicapped space outside of a jewelry store, and they clearly weren’t there to do shopping. They ran out of the vehicle with ski masks on and guns drawn.
When the robbers got inside, they told the staff and one customer to hit the floor. It was clearly a smash-and-grab job, with two of the five men demanding all money be placed into their pillowcases.
However, the move to have everyone hit the floor backfired on these thugs. While they had control over the people in the main room, what they didn’t know was that there was a granny in the back room with a handgun.
And now they had given her a clear shot at them, without any risk of hitting innocent people.
After viewing what had transpired, she became afraid of what the men might do, especially since they’d already made the employees and customer hit the floor. That’s when she started firing her handgun Rambo-style at the five guys.
The robbers proved to not be as brave as they thought they were. As soon as the .38 began firing, they sprinted toward the door, all piling up at the exit like a “Keystone Kops” short.
The grandma ran out after them, making sure they went away. One of the robbers managed to get off a shot, but apparently he was just as good at marksmanship as he was at robbery; it hit the ceiling.
This shows what the Second Amendment is for. Way to go, grandma!
